आज महेंद्र कपूर जी का गाया हुआ एक बहुत सुंदर गीत याद आ रहा है। यह गीत फिल्म-किस्मत के लिए ओ.पी.नैयर जी के संगीत निर्देशन में तैयार किया गया था। गीत के लेखक थे – श्री एस. एच. बिहारी जी।

पहले प्रस्तुत है, इस गीत का अंग्रेजी रूपांतर, जो मैंने करने का प्रयास किया है-
