What Is Success As A Blogger?

I remember a movie song from Hindi film- ‘Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai’ by Raj Kapur Ji. What all happens in that film is not, what I am discussing, just a song from that film comes to my mind, the hero wanders in streets, composes his songs and sings them for the people-

Mera naam Raju, gharaana anaam,
Behti hai Ganga jahaan mera dhaam,

Kaam naye nit geet banana,
Geet banaa ke jahaan ko sunaana,
Koi na mile to akele me, gaana …

The hero, a simple village person tells that he likes to write new songs and sing them for the people, he further says that if nobody listens, he sings for his own satisfaction. Further he says that this kingdom, the king and his family, nothing would remain forever but the songs of love would always remain.

Yes there are so many activities which people do for their satisfaction, to earn appreciation from others, to give some message to people and to display their talent etc.

To begin with I remember people, who sang ‘Alha Udal’ patriotic songs and some others sang Raginis etc. in village chaupal, or  who did some acts there to make people laugh, are also performers, artists. Further in our childhood we found many street performers, snake charmers, magicians, who made sound by their ‘Damru’ to make people gather in the street and then to please people and make them pay to the performer, they made some very nice performances. Rope walking also is a very old street performance.

As we move further there were circus shows, theatre shows, Raas Lila, Ram Lila etc., which while connecting us with our cultural heritage also provide a great chance for the artists to show their talent.

I would not go in much details here but writing poems, short stories, articles in papers etc. are also some ways of expressing ourselves and showcasing our talent.

There are some forms of art which needed some set up, infrastructure etc. like stage, a group of performers, directors etc. etc. Films are a great combination of all such departments and a great package in itself.

Anyway everybody does not have access to such facilities and platforms etc. Further publishing books etc. also was not an easy job. For those who write, in whatever field, after the spread of internet facilities, it is now easy to reach people with their creative pieces and to make their message reach and their talent be displayed before an unlimited audience worldwide. Blogging is such a great platform available to everybody today and yes we can expect anything from this be it name, fame or money, depends on our talent and how far we know the techniques of exploiting the possibilities in this limitless field.

I just want to wish that all bloggers get whatever best they can get from this activity by putting before people their best creative talent and efforts made in the field of research and in this way enrich the vast arena of internet publishing etc.

Success would have different meaning for different people depending on their talent, what they produce and what they look for.

This is my humble submission on the #IndiSpire prompt – What success meant for you as a blogger ? And why you want to be a successful blogger is you are doing this for fame and money ? Say Me Your Opinion #IAMABLOGGER

Thanks for reading.
